A Western-style restaurant located about a 2-minute walk from Nakano Station. It offers homemade bread, handmade pasta, and a variety of dishes that pair well with wine.
The restaurant is located on Nakano Rengazaka, a charming alley lined with a variety of eateries. It’s a stylish and nostalgic street.
First, we toasted with white wine.
When I asked the chef if I could take a photo, he brought out some stylish lighting.
It created a really nice atmosphere.
Classic prosciutto. The bread in front is chewy gnocco fritto.
The freshly sliced prosciutto has an excellent flavor, and being extremely thin, its aroma is distinct when you put it in your mouth.
The bread is piping hot, and you place the prosciutto on top to melt the fat before eating. The wine just keeps flowing.
Assorted Three-Appetizer Platter
Pâté de Campagne, salmon, and foie gras cream puff.
The pâté was served with miso, which complemented it very well.
Beef Braised in Red Wine
Served with classic mashed potatoes.
While new dishes are created every day, there’s nothing quite as comforting as time-honored favorites. Delicious.
Pasta with Soft Roe and White Asparagus.
A dish made with chitarra pasta infused with squid ink. The simple oil-based sauce beautifully highlights the plumpness of the soft roe and the contrast with the asparagus.
For dessert, we had Basque cheesecake and tiramisu.
The tiramisu was soothing with its pleasant melt-in-your-mouth texture and a hint of bitterness.
The cheesecake had a caramelized, crispy surface. It was an interesting dessert in both flavor and texture.
This time, we ordered the dishes à la carte, but you can also make a reservation for a course meal. The à la carte portions are small, allowing you to try a variety of dishes.
It’s a stylish restaurant perfect for dining with friends or for a date, so I highly recommend visiting.
See you next time! 🖐️
